Osa West

Slide Show

The second part of Phase One will be the makeover of Marenco Lodge.  Built nearly 25 years ago as the first eco-lodge in the Osa (photo left), the property is well positioned to capture the attention of the New Traveler.  After the family built the lodge it acquired extensive primary rainforest land to its south - extending the holdings to over 2000 acres.  Most importantly, they acquired the only property with outstanding beach-front land in the Osa.  We will control the lodge without investing in its real estate.  The current owners have asked the Harmony Project to enter into a lease for a nominal cost as a way to craft an attractive partnership for the development of the rest of their land holdings in a way that preserves the vast majority of open space.  We will upgrade the lodge.  Ultimately this facility will incorporate the best southern land and beaches.

The second part will be to install lodging East of Marenco Lodge over looking the best beach of the Osa outside of the National Park.

The beach front land parcel called ‘New Town’ will be acquired. It faces Playa San Josecito. The current no-star lodge will be removed.  The master plan of the southern lodging area will include this parcel.

Access to Marenco is by small boat via Sierpe, 15km south of Palmar domestic airport.
